Course Structure:

ATTC provides training courses in Hand-Upper limb Surgery for orthopedic surgeons.

Target audience

1-day basic Hand-Upper limb Course is targeted for Orthopaedic Surgeons or Plastic Surgeons or Hand Surgeons who seek to expand their knowledge and their expertise in their casualties or elective cases basic techniques.

Instructor

Demonstration and supervision is organized by Dr. Ioannis Ignatiadis, MD, an experienced and worldwide recognized orthopedic and Hand surgeon.

Power point (or video) Lecture Presentations, Wet Lab Hands-on

Scientific program

The course comprises both theory and hands-on wet lab training at our fully equipped laboratories, with instruction on how to perform Hand surgery in 3 steps : Anatomy,  Surgical Approaches and Operative techniques, in short we can call it as “Surgical Anatomy of the Upper limb”

During the hands-on wet lab training, each participant will practice on a cadaver specimen all exercises. 4:1 trainee to cadaver specimen ratio.

What will you learn?

 All about

  1. Upper limb Anatomy,
  2. Basic Approaches
  3. Basic surgical techniques (skin flaps, tendon suture, tendon releases)
  4. Basic Knowledge about peripheral nerve surgery (nerve releases and decompression)

Surgical equipment

Fine instruments set (Adson forceps, Stevens scissors etc.)

*Having a pair of magnification loops during the course is recommended for the trainees (x2,5 to 3).

After completion, participants receive an ATTC certificate.
